Announcement regarding Tranche Size for April 2024 CBP Auction - Friday, March 15, 2024

Pursuant to the Bidding Rules, no later than four (4) days prior to the Part 2 Application Due Date, the Auction Manager announces any update to the MW-measure of the tranches in the auction. There is no change in the MW-measure of the tranches in the auction scheduled for April 2024 from the announcement made on February 15, 2024. Thus, based on historical data, the energy obligation is approximately 4.14 MW per tranche. This value is provided for reference purposes only. Minimum and Maximum Starting Prices for April 2024 CBP Auction - Thursday, March 7, 2024

The minimum and maximum starting prices for the product in the CBP auction scheduled for April 2024 are $80.00/MWh and $120.00/MWh, respectively. Prior to the auction, the actual starting price for the product will be disclosed to bidders. This starting price may vary but the product’s starting price is expected to fall within the range of $80.00/MWh and $120.00/MWh.

For the April 2024 CBP Auction, there is one product and the tranche target for the product is as follows:

  • Delivery period June 2024 through May 2025 (12 months): 20 tranches
Each tranche is one percent (1%) of the energy obligation and capacity obligation to serve SSO Load. Based on historical data, the energy obligation is approximately 4.14 MW per tranche. These values are provided for reference purposes only and may be updated prior to the auction as explained in the Bidding Rules. PUCO Accepts Results of AES Ohio’s October 3, 2023 CBP Auction - Wednesday, October 4, 2023

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) today accepted the results of the latest wholesale auction held October 3, 2023 using a competitive bidding process (CBP) to procure standard service offer (SSO) supply for SSO customers of AES Ohio. The results from the auction, combined with results from other previous and/or scheduled CBP auctions to procure AES Ohio's SSO supply, will be used to determine retail generation service rates for the delivery period June 1, 2024 through May 31, 2025. Public Utilities Commission of Ohio Authorizes New Electric Security Plan (ESP) - Thursday, August 10, 2023

On August 9, 2023 the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) issued an Opinion and Order which authorized AES Ohio to establish its fourth Electric Security Plan (ESP). The term of the ESP will span three years. As outlined in the plan, AES Ohio will maintain 100% competitive bidding for its SSO load and will conduct two auctions annually throughout the duration of the ESP. PUCO Accepts Results of AES Ohio’s April 4, 2023 CBP Auction - Wednesday, April 5, 2023

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) today accepted the results of the latest wholesale auction held April 4, 2023 using a competitive bidding process (CBP) to procure standard service offer (SSO) supply for SSO customers of AES Ohio. The results from the auction, combined with results from other previous and/or scheduled CBP auctions to procure AES Ohio's SSO supply, will be used to determine retail generation service rates for the delivery period June 1, 2023 through May 31, 2025. Announcement Regarding Approval of Modified Auction Schedule - Thursday, September 22, 2022

AES Ohio has received approval from the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (“PUCO”) to modify its Standard Service Offer (“SSO”) auction schedule to procure SSO supply for the 2023/2024 delivery year. Per the modified schedule, AES will hold auctions in November 2022 and March 2023. AES Ohio will procure a 12-month supply of 35 tranches at the November auction, and both a 12-month supply of 25 tranches and a 24-month supply of 40 tranches at the March 2023 auction.

Announcement Regarding Additional Auction for April 2022 - Wednesday, March 23, 2022

AES Ohio has received approval from the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (“PUCO”) to conduct an additional auction on April 18, 2022 to procure the remaining 50 tranches of the 12-month product with delivery from June 1, 2022 through May 31, 2023. Dayton Power and Light Company changes name to AES Ohio - Wednesday, February 24, 2021

The Dayton Power & Light (DP&L) Company has announced its new name and brand identity. DP&L is now AES Ohio. The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) today accepted the results of the latest wholesale auction held April 24, 2017 using a competitive bidding process (CBP) to procure standard service offer (SSO) supply for SSO customers of The Dayton Power and Light Company (DP&L). The results from the auction, combined with results from other previous and/or scheduled CBP auctions to procure DP&L’s SSO supply, will be used to determine retail generation service rates for the delivery period June 1, 2017 through May 31, 2020. The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) today accepted the results of the latest wholesale auction held April 11, 2017 using a competitive bidding process (CBP) to procure standard service offer (SSO) supply for SSO customers of The Dayton Power and Light Company (DP&L). The results from the auction, combined with results from other previous and/or scheduled CBP auctions to procure DP&L’s SSO supply, will be used to determine retail generation service rates for the delivery period June 1, 2017 through May 31, 2020. Pursuant to the Bidding Rules, no later than four (4) days prior to the Part 2 Application Due Date, the Auction Manager announces any update to the MW-measure of the tranches in the auctions. The MW-measure of the tranches in the auctions scheduled for April 2017 has been updated from the announcement made on February 23, 2017. Minimum and Maximum Starting Prices for April 2017 CBP Auctions - Wednesday, March 22, 2017

The minimum and maximum starting prices for each of the three products in the CBP auctions scheduled for April 2017 are $75.00/MWh and $95.00/MWh, respectively. Prior to the auctions, the actual starting price for each product will be disclosed to bidders. This starting price may vary by product but each product’s starting price is expected to fall within the range of $75.00/MWh and $95.00/MWh.
